Benjamin comes from a musical family and likes the variety of music the Youth Symphony performs. He enjoys the quick change from delicate music to more high-energy pieces like Gliere’s “Russian Sailors Dance,” a piece that the Youth Symphony will play for their 2018 Spring concerts. Benjamin explains that the Youth Symphony has taught him how to play in a group setting, which is something he hadn’t done before joining the YSO.
